Description:
TREE: medium vigour, ramified, spreading growth habit, fruit bearing on spurs and long shoots, begins flowering early, late harvest and eating maturity
ONE-YEAR OLD SHOOT: medium to thick, medium to long internode length, light brown on sunny side, medium density of pubescence on distal half, medium to many lenticels
PETIOLE: medium length, medium extent of anthocyanin colouration from base
LEAF: outwards attitude in relation to shoot, long, medium to broad, medium length to width ratio, medium green, biserrate margin on distal half, medium density pubescence on lower side
FLOWER: dark pink at balloon stage, large diameter when petals are pressed into horizontal position, intermediate arrangement of petals, stigma positioned at the same level as the anthers
YOUNG FRUIT: small extent of anthocyanin overcolour
FRUIT: medium to large, medium height, medium diameter, medium to large height to diameter ratio, cylindrical shape, absent or weak ribbing, absent or weak crowning at calyx end, medium to large size eye, medium length sepal
FRUIT SKIN: absent or weak bloom, moderate greasiness, yellow ground colour, absent or small area of russet around stalk attachment and on cheeks, absent or small area of russet around eye basin, medium to many medium sized lenticels

Origin & Breeding History: 'PLBAR B1' is a limb sport mutation of 'Cripps Pink' and was discovered in a cultivated orchard during the 1999 and 2000 growing season in Pemberton, Western Australia. 'PLBAR B1' was selected based on earlier colouration and maturity when compared to 'Cripps Pink'.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'PLBAR B1' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 4067291, purchased from the Groupe d'Étude et de Contrôle des Variétés et des Semences in Beaucouzé, France. The trials were conducted by the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique in Beaucouzé, France, from 2014 to 2017.
