Description:

TREE: medium vigour, ramified, spreading growth habit, bearing fruit on spurs and long shoots, begins flowering early, mid-season harvest and eating maturity
ONE-YEAR-OLD SHOOT: medium to thick, medium internode length, side facing sun is medium brown, medium density of pubescence on distal half, medium number of lenticels

FLOWER: predominantly light pink at balloon stage, small to large diameter when petals pressed into horizontal position, intermediate arrangement of petals, stigmas positioned at same level of anthers

PETIOLE: short to medium length, large extent of anthocyanin colouration extending from base
LEAF BLADE: outwards attitude in relation to shoot, long, medium to broad, medium ratio of length to width, light to medium intensity of green on upper side, crenate incisions of margin along distal half, medium density of pubescence on lower side

YOUNG FRUIT: small to medium extent of anthocyanin over colour
FRUIT: medium size, medium height, medium diameter, medium to large height to diameter ratio, conic shape, absent or weak degree of ribbing, moderate degree of crowning at calyx end, medium to long sepal
FRUIT SKIN: strong degree of bloom, absent or weak amount of greasiness, yellow ground colour, medium intensity of pink red over colour distributed over a medium to large area in a flushed and mottled pattern, medium area of russet around stalk attachment, absent or small area of russet on cheeks, absent or small area of russet around eye basin, medium to many medium to large sized lenticels

Origin & Breeding History: 'PremA34' originated from a cross between 'Sciros' and 'A038R02T119' made in 1997 at the New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research, in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. 'PremA34' was selected as a seedling in 2003 and was first asexually propagated in 2004. 'PremA34' was selected for its appearance, texture, flavour and scab resistance.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'PremA34' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 4069562, purchased from the Groupe d'étude et de contrôle des variétés et des semences (GEVES) in Beaucouzé, France. The trials were conducted by GEVES at the Institut national de la recherche agronomique in Beaucouzé, France from 2013 to 2015.
