Description:

TREE: weak to medium vigour, ramified type, spreading growth habit, fruit bearing on spurs and long shoots, begins flowering early to mid-season, early to mid-season fruit harvest and eating maturity
ONE-YEAR-OLD SHOOT: medium thickness, short to medium length internode, side facing sun is dark brown, medium to dense pubescence on distal third, medium number of lenticels

PETIOLE: medium to long, medium to large extent of anthocyanin colouration from base
LEAF BLADE: outwards attitude in relation to shoot, long, narrow to medium width, large length to width ratio, medium intensity of green on upper side, crenate incisions of margin on distal half, medium density pubescence on lower side

FLOWER: predominantly dark pink at balloon stage, medium sized diameter when petals pressed into horizontal position, free arrangement of petals, stigmas positioned at same level as anthers

YOUNG FRUIT: medium extent of anthocyanin over colour
FRUIT: medium sized, tall to very tall, medium diameter, very large height to diameter ratio, oviod shape, moderate ribbing, moderate crowning at calyx end, medium to long sepal
FRUIT SKIN: absent or weak bloom and greasiness, yellow ground colour, large area of over colour, dark intensity of red over colour distributed only as solid flush, absent or small area of russet around stalk attachment, absent or small area of russet on cheeks, absent or small area of russet around eye basin, medium number of small to medium sized lenticels
FRUIT STALK: medium to long, medium width
FRUIT STALK CAVITY: deep, narrow to medium width
FRUIT EYE: small to medium sized
FRUIT EYE BASIN: medium depth, narrow
FRUIT FLESH: firm, cream coloured, aperture of locules are closed or slightly open in transverse section

Origin & Breeding History: 'PremA093' originated from a cross between 'Scifresh' and 'A080R12T094' made in 2001, in Havelock North, New Zealand. 'PremA003' was selected as a seedling in 2019. 'PremA34' was selected for its fruit appearance and maturity.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'PremA093' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 4082243, purchased from the Groupe d'étude et de contrôle des variétés et des semences (GEVES) in Beaucouzé, France. The trials were conducted by GEVES at the Institut national de la recherche agronomique in Beaucouzé, France from 2021 to 2024.
