Description:

PLANT: medium to tall

PETIOLE: red, weak to medium density of red pubescence
LEAF BLADE: short to medium length midrib, narrow, no curling of basal lobes, open base, absent or very shallow lobbing, shallow incisions of margin, medium to strong undulation of margin
LEAF BLADE (UPPER SIDE): absent or very sparse pubescence, main colour red, secondary colour nearly black distributed at base and margin
LEAF BLADE (LOWER SIDE): green and red between red veins

FLOWER: double type
OUTER PETAL: blue pink (RHS 67D to RHS 64D) outer margin, blue pink (RHS 67D) middle of inner side
INNER PETAL: blue pink (RHS 67D) middle of inner side
STAMEN: orange

Origin & Breeding History: 'KRBELIN02' was bred and developed by the breeder Lubbertus H. Koppe in Ermelo, The Netherlands, as part of a planned breeding program. 'KRBELIN02' originated from a hybrid cross conducted in January 2008, between the female parent '99BREX-31' and the male parent 'KV03B265-08'. 'KRBELIN02' was selected in January 2009 based on leaf colour and plant growth habit. Asexual reproduction of 'KREBELIN02', by cuttings, was first conducted in February 2009 in Ermelo, The Netherlands.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'KRBELIN02' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2011/0580, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany, in 2011. The colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
