Origin & Breeding History: 'Golden Treasure' was bred and developed by the breeder, Ing. Michal Andrusiv, in Litomyšl, Czech Republic. It originated from a cross conducted in 2010 between the Betula pendula variety 'Golden Cloud', as the female parent, and Betula nana, as the male parent. 'Golden Treasure' was selected in 2012 for its dwarf plant growth habit, orange leaf colour in spring, and shiny, yellow leaf colour during the summer months. Asexual reproduction of 'Golden Treasure' was first conducted in 2012, in Litomyšl, Czech Republic.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Golden Treasure' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2014/0652, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany in Cambridge, United Kingdom in 2015. The colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
