Description:
SHRUB: broad, medium to strong degree of branching
YOUNG SHOOT: yellow green on sunny side, light green on shadow side
MATURE SHOOT: light green on sunny side
PETIOLE: very short to short, light green
LEAF BLADE: short to medium length, narrow to medium width, elliptic shape, rounded apex, wedge shaped base, straight margin
LEAF BLADE (UPPER SIDE): medium green (RHS 144A)
LEAF BLADE (LOWER SIDE): light green (RHS 144B)
Origin & Breeding History: 'HER2010B04' originated from an interspecific pollination between two proprietary varieties conducted in the spring of 2010. The resulting seedlings were harvested, and resulting seeds were sown in October 2010. In January 2015, 'HER2010B04' was selected as a single seedling based on its plant growth habit, foliage twisting and colour, as well as disease resistance.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'HER2010B04' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 20181216, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Bundessortenamt, in Hannover, Germany from 2019 to 2020.
