Origin & Breeding History: 'PKMF02' originated from a cross made in Sohus, Denmark in 2000. The female parent was the proprietary selection of Campanula formanekiana named 'FORMET' and the male parent was an un-named proprietary selection of Campanula formanekiana. The variety 'PKMF02' was selected in 2003 based on the number of cuttings per stock plant, vernalization period and forcing time after vernalization. The objective of this breeding program was to develop a new campanula variety with a more upright, compact growth habit which flowers more freely than the species.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'PKMF02' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2007/0042, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by The National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB) in Cambridge, United Kingdom, in 2008. Colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
