Origin & Breeding History: 'KLEDP10105' is one of eleven different naturally occuring mutations of the variety 'St. Oscar' which were discovered and selected by the breeder, Martin Glawe, in Stuttgart, Germany in 2006. The selection of the eleven mutations was based on their plant vigour, branching and flower colour. The mutations were further evaluated as plants in greenhouse trials in Stuttgart to assess their capacity for early flowering, flower colour stability, good growth, branching and pot performance. Outdoor trials were conducted to assess plant growth and health, continuous flowering ability, abundance of flowers, and tolerance to weather and disease. 'KLEDP10105' was selected from one of these eleven mutation plants.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'KLEDP10105' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2011/1713, purchased from the Raadvoorplantenrassen in Wageningen, Netherlands. The trials were conducted by the Naktuinbouw Variety Center in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2012. Colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
