Summary: The inner side of the petal of 'KLEDP10111' is blue pink while it is purple for 'Brescar'.

Description:

PLANT: spray type pot carnation, arrangement of totality of flowers is domed, on non-disbudded plants an individual flower is arranged singly and in clusters
STEM: thin, weakly edged in cross-section, not hollow, laterals without flower buds or flowers are present, three internodes between epicalyx and lowest node with flowering laterals, no laterals with flower buds or flowers of second order, total length of seven internodes directly below flower is very short, fifth internode directly below flower is very short

LEAF BLADE: obovate shape, short to medium length, narrow to medium width, straight to slightly recurved along longitudinal axis, upper side is weakly concave to straight in cross-section, blue-green to green on upper side, medium thick waxy layer, no spiny ciliation of margin

EPICALYX: position of outer lobes in relation to calyx is not touching, acute apex of outer lobes, short apex of inner and outer lobes, acuminate apex of inner lobes
CALYX: short, cylindrical
CALYX LOBE: flat along longitudinal axis (tip excluded), no anthocyanin colouration, short acute shape, short
FLOWER BUD: obovoid shape immediately before colour shows, no extrusion of styles
FLOWER: double type, few petals, pink colour group, fragrance present
COROLLA: small to medium diameter, short, profile of upper part in lateral view is convex, profile of lower part in lateral view is flat
PETAL: predominant shape is type 3, undulating and folded surface, crenate-dentate margin, shallow to medium depth of incisions of margin, short, narrow, one colour on inner side (claw excluded), inner side is blue pink (RHS 73B), no secondary colour, macule present
OVARY: elliptic shape, yellowish base, weakly ribbed surface
STYLE: two and three, short to medium length, no shoulder
STIGMA: white with purple flush

Origin & Breeding History: 'KLEDP10111' originated as a mutation of the variety 'Oscar' discovered in Latina, Italy, in February 2009, by the breeder, Martin Glawe. It was evaluated in greenhouse trials from January to April 2010 and assessed for plant growth habit, plant colour and early flowering. 'KLEDP10111' was selected for commercialization in April 2010.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'KLEDP10111' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2011/1714, purchased from the Raadvoorplantenrassen in Wageningen, Netherlands. The trials were conducted by the Naktuinbouw Variety Center in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2012. Colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
