Description:

PLANT: pot type, very short to short, medium density, flowers at same level or slightly above foliage
STEM: very short to short internode, thin to medium thickness of internode, strongly angular shape in cross-section, no hollowness

LEAF: obovate, short to medium length, narrow to medium width, absent or very weakly recurved, weakly concave in cross-section, medium green, medium glaucosity, margin with no spiny ciliation

EPICALYX: position of outer lobes is free in relation to calyx, acute apex of outer lobes, long tip of outer lobes, medium acuminate apex of inner lobes, medium length tip of inner lobes
CALYX: short, narrow, cylindrical, absent or very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration
CALYX LOBE: straight along longitudinal axis, acuminate apex, short
FLOWER BUD: elliptic shape, no extrusion of styles
FLOWER: double type, small to medium diameter
COROLLA: short to medium height, flat convex profile of upper part in lateral view, flat profile of lower part in lateral view

Origin & Breeding History: 'KLEDP20383' was bred and developed by the breeder in Stuttgart, Germany. The new variety originated from a controlled cross between the female parent, 'KLEDP16188', and the male parent, 'DCP-2012-0206', in Stuttgart in the summer of 2016. From the resulting progeny, seedlings were selected in May 2017 based on plant growth habit and flower colour. Further evaluation was conducted in greenhouse trials between 2017 to 2020.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'KLEDP20383' is based on the UPOV Report of Technical Examination, application number 2020/2090, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2021. The colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
