Origin & Breeding History: 'Dekaljonka' originated from a hybrid cross conducted by the breeder, Cornelis W. Dekker, in Hensbroek, Netherlands. The cross was made between the proprietary seedlings designated '05.43371.86' as the female parent variety and '05.43371.01' as the male parent variety in May 2012. In October 2012, 'Dekaljonka' was selected from the resulting progeny based on its decorative flower type, flower colour, and good production qualities. 'Dekaljonka' was first propagated by cuttings in November 2012 in Hensbroek, Netherlands and commercialized in September 2013.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Dekaljonka' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2014/3369, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany in Cambridge, United Kingdom in 2015.
