This variety was selected in January 2008 based on its growth habit and flower colour.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Sunsenekabapi' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, 2012/0037, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2013. Colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
