Description:

PLANT: erect attitude

STEM: round shape, medium green (RHS 144A)

LEAF BLADE: ovate shape, very weakly concave in cross-section, weak undulation, flat in longitudinal section, margin is entire, acute apex, medium degree of waxy layer
LEAF BLADE (UPPER SIDE): dark green (RHS 137A), dark green (RHS 137A) along main vein with lighter green at the base, light white green along margin
LEAF BLADE (LOWER SIDE): medium brown green (RHS 137D), medium brown green (RHS 138A) along main vein, light white green along margin

Origin & Breeding History: 'LICLUS01' originated from a spontaneous whole plant mutation of Clusia rosea 'Princess', Community Plant Variety Office grant number EU8456, which was discovered at the breeders commercial greenhouse in Uithoorn, Netherlands in January of 2015. The variety 'LICLUS01' was selected in January 2015 for its freely branching plant habit and small dark green leaves. In July of 2015, asexual reproduction was initiated by meristematic tissue culture in Uithoorn, Netherlands.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'LICLUS01' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination application number 2017/1230, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2018.
