Summary: The upper side of the leaf blade of 'Bonwell' is medium green whereas the leaf blade of 'Oxwell' is medium to dark green. The fruit of 'Bonwell' is short to medium in length, but shorter than the fruit of 'Oxwell' which is also short to medium in length. The shape of the stem end of the fruit of 'Bonwell' is obtuse, but more truncate than the stem end of the fruit of 'Oxwell' which is also obtuse.

Origin & Breeding History: 'Bonwell' (breeder designation 22-551 RZ) is a mini-cucumber variety suitable for heated cultivation. It originated from a cross made in the autumn of 2011, in the Netherlands. The resulting hybrid, 'Bonwell', was selected for its plant characteristics, stable fruit quality during the growing season, yield and resistance to Cucumber Green Mottle Mosaic Virus (CGMMV).
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Bonwell' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number KMK1174, purchased from Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands from 2016 to 2017.
