Summary: The length of the fruit of 'Cervello' is long, but longer than the fruit of 'Amazone' which is also long. At the market stage, the intensity of the ground colour of the skin of the fruit is dark for 'Cervello' whereas the intensity is medium to dark for 'Amazone'.

COTYLEDON: no bitterness

LEAF BLADE: horizontal attitude, medium to long, medium to large ratio of length of terminal lobe in relation to length of blade, shape of apex of terminal lobe is right angled, medium to dark green upper side, weak to medium degree of blistering, absent or weak undulation of margin, very weak to weak dentation of margin

Origin & Breeding History: 'Cervello' (breeder designation 24-240 RZ) is a long cucumber variety suitable for heated cultivation. It originated from a cross made in the autumn of 2012, in the Netherlands. The resulting hybrid, 'Cervello', was selected for its plant characteristics, stable fruit quality during the growing season, yield, resistance to powdery mildew and resistance to Cucumber Green Mottle Mosaic Virus (CGMMV).

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Cervello' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number KMK1201, purchased from Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands from 2016 to 2017.
