Variety used for comparison: 'Diapason'

Summary: The leaf blade attitude of 'Davida' is horizontal to drooping whereas it is drooping for 'Diapason'. The fruit of 'Davida' and 'Diapason' is medium to long, but the fruit of 'Davida' is shorter. The intensity of ground colour for the fruit skin of 'Davida' is medium green while it is medium to dark green for 'Diapason'.

Origin & Breeding History: 'Davida' (breeder designation DRCE1266) is a hybrid variety suited for protected heated culture in North America. It originated from a cross between two proprietary lines, made in 2013 in the Netherlands. 'Davida' was selected for its yield potential, disease resistance, plant architecture, fruit length, fruit colour and fruit shape.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Davida' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number KMK1293, purchased from Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. Two independent trials were conducted by Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2018.
