Variety used for comparison: ‘Boncanale'

Summary: The leaf blade of ‘Selector' is long and medium to dark green while that of ‘Boncanale' is medium to long and is dark green. The length of the fruit neck of ‘Selector' is short to medium length while that of ‘Boncanale' is a medium length. The intensity of the ground colour of the skin of ‘Selector' is dark, while that of ‘Boncanale' is medium to dark.

PLANT: produces Dutch type fruit, gynoecious sex expression, predominantly one or two female flowers per node, parthenocarpy present, indeterminate growth type, first 15 internodes are long

COTYLEDON: no bitterness

LEAF BLADE: drooping attitude, long, medium ratio of terminal lobe length in relation to blade length, shape of apex of terminal lobe is right-angled, medium to dark intensity of green on upper side, medium degree of blistering, absent or weak undulation of margin, very weak to weak dentation of margin

Origin & Breeding History: 'Selector' (breeders reference 24-HT010 RZ) originated from a cross made in the spring of 2018, in De Lier, Netherlands. The resulting hybrid was selected for its disease resistance, fruit size, fruit type, and fruit colour.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Selector' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number KMK1482, purchased from Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2022.
