Summary: The leaf blade of ‘Selector' is long and medium to dark green while that of ‘Boncanale' is medium to long and is dark green. The length of the fruit neck of ‘Selector' is short to medium length while that of ‘Boncanale' is a medium length. The intensity of the ground colour of the skin of ‘Selector' is dark, while that of ‘Boncanale' is medium to dark.

DISEASE REACTIONS: moderate resistance to Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV); resistance to Cladosporium cucumerinum (Ccu), Corynespora blight and Target leaf spot (Corynespora cassiicola) (Cca) and Cucumber Vein Yellowing Virus (CVYV) present; highly resistant to powdery mildew (Podosphaera xanthii) (Px)

Origin & Breeding History: 'Selector' (breeders reference 24-HT010 RZ) originated from a cross made in the spring of 2018, in De Lier, Netherlands. The resulting hybrid was selected for its disease resistance, fruit size, fruit type, and fruit colour.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Selector' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number KMK1482, purchased from Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2022.
