Summary: The leaf blade attitude of 'Hi Light' is medium to long whereas the leaf blade of 'Sepalin' is long. The fruit of 'Hi Light' is medium to long whereas the fruit of 'Sepalin' is long. The fruit of 'Hi Light' has a shorter neck than the fruit of 'Sepalin'. The degree of creasing of the fruit of 'Hi Light' is weak whereas it is of a medium degree for 'Sepalin'.

PLANT: produces Dutch type fruit, gynoecious sex expression, predominantly two female flowers per node, parthenocarpy present, indeterminate growth type, length of first 15 internodes is medium to long

Origin & Breeding History: 'Hi Light' originated from a cross between two proprietary lines, made in 2013 in the Netherlands. 'Hi Light' was selected for its disease resistance, plant architecture, and fruit quality.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Hi Light' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number KMK1336, purchased from Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. Trials were conducted by Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2019.
