Variety used for comparison: 'Verdon'

Summary: The leaves of ‘Blueray' are medium to long and have a medium degree of blistering while those of ‘Verdon' are long and with a medium to strong degree of blistering. The shape of the stem of the fruit of ‘Blueray' is necked while that of ‘Verdon' is acute. The degree of creasing of the fruit of ‘Blueray' is medium, while that of ‘Verdon' is weak to medium.

Origin & Breeding History: 'Blueray' (breeders reference 24-HT028 RZ) originated from a cross made in the spring of 2019, in the Netherlands. The resulting hybrid was selected for its leaf colour, fruit colour, fruit quality, and summer stress tolerance.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Blueray' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number KMK1610 , purchased from Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2024.
