Summary: The plants of 'KLEDH11031' are shorter with a larger leaf than the plants of 'Dahlinova Florida'. The peduncle of ''KLEDH11031' is longer than the peduncle of 'Dahlinova Florida'. The peduncle of 'KLEDH11031' is green and may have very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration whereas the peduncle of 'Dahlinova Florida' is green tinged with brownish red or purple. The attitude of the flower head of 'KLEDH11031' is horizontal whereas the attitude of the flower head of 'Dahlinova Florida' is semi-upright. The ray floret of 'KLEDH11031' is longer than the ray floret of 'Dahlinova Florida'. The main colour of the inner side of the ray floret is blue pink for 'KLEDH11031' whereas it is white for 'Dahlinova Florida'.

RAY FLORET: medium length to width ratio, two keels on upper surface, weakly concave in cross-section at midpoint and at three quarter point from base, flat margin, straight to very weak reflexing of distal quarter along longitudinal axis, absent or very weak twisting, pointed apex, two colours on inner side, main colour of inner side is blue pink (RHS 68A-B), secondary colour of inner side is dark purple red (RHS 53A) with purple red (closest to RHS N66A) streaks towards apex and red (RHS 42A) at base, secondary colour of inner side is distributed as a solid or nearly solid pattern along basal half, colour of outer side is similar to colour of inner side
DISC: medium diameter relative to diameter of flower head, yellow before anther dehiscence, orange at time of anther dehiscence

Origin & Breeding History: 'KLEDH11031' was bred and developed by the breeder, Andrea Dohm, in Stuttgart, Germany. It originated from a hybrid cross conducted in September 2007, in Stuttgart, between a proprietary variety designated 'DH 2006 0095', as the female parent, and a proprietary variety designated 'DH 2006 0039', as the male parent. From the resulting progeny, seedlings were selected for flower colour, flower shape, branching characteristics and mildew resistance. These selected seedlings were evaluated in greenhouse trials from February to May 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012, in Stuttgart, Germany, during which they were further assessed for early flowering, plant vigour, good branching and mildew resistance. 'KLEDH11031' was selected in August 2010, in Stuttgart, Germany, for commercialization.

Tests & Trials: The comparative trial of 'KLEDH11031' was conducted in a polyhouse during the spring of 2015 at BioFlora Inc. in St. Thomas, Ontario. The trial included a total of 20 plants each of the candidate and reference variety. All plants were grown from rooted cuttings that were each transplanted into a 15 cm pot on April 15, 2015. Observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants or parts of plants of the candidate variety on May 21, 2015, and from 10 plants or parts of plants of the reference variety on June 5, 2015. All colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
