Variety used for comparison: 'Gallery Bellini'

Summary: The plants of 'Dasyvogtyve' are short to medium in height whereas the plants of 'Gallery Bellini' are very short to short. The incisions of the leaflet margin of 'Dasyvogtyve' are medium deep whereas the incisions of the leaflet margin of 'Gallery Bellini' are deep. The shape of the apex of the ray floret of 'Dasyvogtyve' is mamillate whereas the apex of the ray floret of 'Gallery Bellini' is laciniate.

PLANT: upright growth habit, short to medium height
STEM: green

LEAF: predominantly pinnate type, absent or weak prominence of wing, very long (including petiole), broad to very broad, low to medium length to width ratio, dark green on upper side, very weak glossiness on upper side, weakly rugose surface texture, depressed veins
LEAFLET: elliptic shape, obtuse base, medium to many incisions of medium depth along margin (excluding lobes)

PEDUNCLE: medium length, green
FLOWER HEAD: positioned moderately above foliage, semi-upright attitude, double type, no collar segments, medium to large diameter, tall, medium to dense ray florets
RAY FLORET: long, medium to broad, high length to width ratio, in cross-section moderately convex at mid-point, in cross-section strongly convex at three quarter point from base, moderately revolute rolling of margin along distal quarter, longitudinal axis is weakly incurved along distal three quarters, absent or very weak twisting, mamillate shaped apex
RAY FLORET (INNER SIDE): ribbed, more than two colours, main colour is white (RHS 155D tinged with pink), secondary colour is purple (RHS N74C) distributed in a solid or nearly solid pattern along the distal quarter and the whole margin, tertiary colour is yellow (RHS 2A) distributed in a solid or nearly solid pattern at base
RAY FLORET (OUTER SIDE): colour is similar when compared to colour of inner side

Origin & Breeding History: 'Dasyvogtyve' originated from a hybridization between two proprietary seedlings designated '2172' and '5187C'. The hybridization was conducted as part of a breeding program, in June of 2009, in the research greenhouse of the breeder, Rune Harboe Nielsen, located in Stige, Denmark. The objectives of the breeding program were to develop new Dahlia varieties with a uniform and compact plant form and colourful, attractive flowers. 'Dasyvogtyve' was selected in June of 2010 for its compact plant growth habit and bi-coloured flowers.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Dasyvogtyve' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2012/1151, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, in Angers, France. The trial was conducted in 2013 by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany, in Cambridge, United Kingdom. The colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
