Origin & Breeding History: 'DAHZ0041' originated from a cross conducted in August 2014, in Enkhuizen, Netherlands, between an unknown female parent seedling and an unknown male parent seedling. The new variety was developed by the breeder, Eric Giesen, as part of a controlled breeding program. The resultant seed from the cross was sown in a greenhouse in March 2015. In September 2015, 'DAHZ0041' was selected based on flower colour, flower type and foliage colour.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'DAHZ0041' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 20202882, purchased by the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2021. All colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
