The width of the leaf of 'KLEDG15176' is very narrow to narrow whereas the leaf of 'KLEDCP05070' is narrow. The flower diameter of 'KLEDG15176' is small whereas the flower diameter of 'KLEDCP05070' is small to medium. The flower of 'KLEDG15176' has very few petals whereas the flower of 'KLEDCP05070' has very few to few petals. The depth of the incisions of the petal margin is very shallow to shallow for 'KLEDG15176' whereas the depth is shallow for 'KLEDCP05070'.

PLANT: garden plant type, pink main colour group, dark red secondary colour group, short, medium density, flowers positioned at same level or slightly above foliage

STEM: very short to short internode, thin internode, slightly angular in cross-section, not hollow

LEAF BLADE: linear shape, short, very narrow to narrow, weakly recurved along longitudinal axis, weakly concave in cross-section, grey green upper side, strong degree of glaucosity, no spiny ciliation of margin

FLOWER BUD: oblong shape just before colour shows, no extrusion of styles
EPICALYX (OUTER LOBES): adpressed in relation to calyx, acute apex, short tip
EPICALYX (INNER LOBES): short acuminate apex, short tip
CALYX: short, very narrow to narrow, cylindrical shape
CALYX LOBE: acute apex, medium length, straight along longitudinal axis, medium intensity of anthocyanin colouration distributed throughout whole lobe
FLOWER: small diameter, double type, very few petals

Origin & Breeding History: 'KLEDG15176' was bred and developed by the breeder, Martin Glawe, in Stuttgart, Germany. It originated from a controlled cross conducted in June 2010, between the selection designated 'DSS-2009-0511', as the female parent, and the selection designated 'DSS-2007-0020', as the male parent. From the resulting progeny, seedlings were selected in May of 2011, in Stuttgart, for their branching characteristics, flowering time and flower colour. These seedlings were evaluated in greenhouse trials, in Stuttgart from September 2010 to April 2011, to assess flowering time and flower colour. In April of 2014, in Stuttgart, Germany, 'KLEDG15176' was selected for commercialization.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'KLEDG15176' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2016/0997, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, in Angers, France. The trial was conducted in 2017 by the Naktuinbouw - Variety Center, in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands, using the reference number ANJ3222. The colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
