Summary: The height of the foliage of the plants of 'KIRORUF113' is shorter than that of 'Visinfsalimp'. The leaf blade of 'KIRORUF113' is shorter than that of 'Visinfsalimp'. The upper side of the leaf blade of 'KIRORUF113' is medium green with a weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration while that of 'Visinfsalimp' is dark green with a strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration. The lower side of the leaf blade of 'KIRORUF113' is green between the veins while that of 'Visinfsalimp' is red between the veins. The pedicel of 'KIRORUF113' has a strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration while that of 'Visinfsalimp' has a medium intensity of anthocyanin colouration. The inner side of the corolla of 'KIRORUF113' is dark pink red to red pink with orange red tones and light blue pink at the base of the petals while that of 'Visinfsalimp' is a blend of red pink and purple red with dark pink red along the margin and a light blue pink secondary colour at the base of the petals. The eye zone of the corolla of 'KIRORUF113' is purple to purple red with dark purple red extending onto the inner petals while that of 'Visinfsalimp' is purple red. The incision of the lower petal of 'KIRORUF113' is deep while it is of medium depth for 'Visinfsalimp'. The spur of 'KIRORUF113' is strongly curved while that of 'Visinfsalimp' has a medium degree of curvature.

FLOWER: single type
COROLLA (INNER SIDE): dark pink red to red pink (RHS 52A-B) with orange red (RHS 41B) tones and light blue pink (RHS 56A) at base of petals, no secondary colour
EYE ZONE: very small, dark purple red (RHS 53A) near base and purple red (RHS N57A-B) extending onto inner petals
LOWER PETAL: deep incision
SPUR: strongly curved

Origin & Breeding History: 'KIRORUF113' originated from a controlled cross conducted by the breeder, Mr. Ludwig Kientzler, in Gensingen, Germany. The cross was made between the female parent designated '09-307' and the male parent designated '09-029' in November 2010. In April 2011, 'KIRORUF113' was selected from the resulting progeny based on its compact growth habit, good branching, salmon-peach flower colour and ruffled petals in Gensingen, Germany. It was first propagated by unrooted cuttings in May 2011 in Gensingen, Germany.

Tests & Trials: The comparative trial for 'KIRORUF113' was conducted in a polyhouse during the summer of 2015 at BioFlora Inc. in St. Thomas, Ontario. The trial included a total of 20 plants each of the candidate and reference variety. All plants were grown from rooted cuttings and transplanted into 15 cm pots on May 11, 2015. Observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants, or parts of plants, of each variety on June 22, 2015. All colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
