Description:

PLANT: short foliage height, narrow to medium width
SHOOT (UPPER PART): absent or very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration

LEAF BLADE: short, narrow to medium width, very small to small length to width ratio
LEAF BLADE (UPPER SIDE): no marking, weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration
LEAF BLADE (LOWER SIDE): green between veins, green veins
PETIOLE: short, absent or very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration on upper side

PEDICEL: short to medium length, absent or very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration
FLOWER: single type, narrow to medium width, one colour
COROLLA (INNER SIDE): medium purple (RHS NN78C)
EYE ZONE: small to medium size, light violet (RHS 75C)
UPPER PETAL: narrow to medium width
LATERAL PETAL: medium width
LOWER PETAL: medium length

Origin & Breeding History: 'SAKIMP061' originated from an interspecific hybridization conducted by the breeder, Chihiro Sato, in Misato, Japan. The hybridization was made between the female parental line 'NP-1663w' and the male parental line 'NK-357-1H-36H' in April 2016. The resulting F1 progeny was evaluated in a field trial in Misato, Japan. A single plant was selected based on its growth habit, flower colour and rooting characteristics. The selection was vegetatively propagated and evaluated in another open field trial from June to August 2017, after which it was subsequently named 'SAKIMP061'.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'SAKIMP061' is based on the UPOV Report of Technical Examination, application number 2020/2444, purchased from Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2021. Colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
