Summary: The flower of ‘SAKIMP065' is narrow whereas the flower of ‘SAKIMP068' is medium to broad. The upper petal of ‘SAKIMP065' is a narrow to medium width whereas the upper petal of ‘SAKIMP068' is medium to broad. The lateral petal of ‘SAKIMP065' is narrow whereas the lateral petal of ‘SAKIMP068' is a medium width.
Description:
PLANT: short foliage, narrow to medium width
SHOOT (UPPER PART): very weak to weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration
LEAF BLADE: short to medium length, narrow, small to medium length to width ratio
LEAF BLADE (UPPER SIDE): no markings, very weak to weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration
LEAF BLADE (LOWER SIDE): green colouration between veins, green veins
PETIOLE: short to medium length, absent or very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration on upper side
PEDICEL: short to medium length, absent or very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration
FLOWER: single type, narrow, one colour excluding eye zone
COROLLA (INNER SIDE): white (RHS NN155C), very small medium purple (RHS 61B) eye zone
UPPER PETAL: narrow to medium width
LATERAL PETAL: narrow
LOWER PETAL: short to medium length
Origin & Breeding History: ‘SAKIMP065' originated from an interspecific hybridization conducted in December of 2016 in Misato, Japan between the proprietary female parental line, ‘NL-1174A-26Hw' and the proprietary male parental line ‘NJ-1174A'. ‘SAKIMP065' was selected between June and August of 2018 based on the number of flowers, plant habit vigour and rooting characteristics.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of ‘SAKIMP065' is based on the UPOV Report of Technical Examination, application number 20230278, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2024. Colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
