Summary: The plants of 'LANZ0026' are taller than those of 'Bani Redda'. The plants of 'LANZ0026' are wider than those of 'Bani Redda' and narrower than those of 'Balucred'. The leaf blade of 'LANZ0026' is shorter and narrower than that of 'Bani Redda' whereas it is shorter and wider than that of 'Balucred'. The petiole of 'LANZ0026' is shorter than that of 'Bani Redda' and longer than that of 'Balucred'. The peduncle of 'LANZ0026' is longer than that of 'Bani Redda' and shorter than that of 'Balucred'. The corolla lobes of the floret of 'LANZ0026' are overlapping whereas those of 'Bani Redda' are touching and those of 'Balucred' are free.

FLORET: overlapping arrangement of corolla lobes, medium yellow orange (RHS 17A-B) when newly opened, orange red (RHS 32A-B) mottled with dark orange (RHS 31B) and medium yellow orange (RHS 14C) undertones when fully opened, dark purple red (RHS 46A) when aged
COROLLA LOBE: obtuse apex, incurved along longitudinal axis, medium undulation of margin

Origin & Breeding History: 'LANZ0026' originated from an open pollinated cross conducted by the breeder in Gilroy, California, USA in August 2015. The cross was made between the female parent, a proprietary seedling designated 'LANZ013', and pollen from an unknown male parent. The resultant seed was sown in March 2016. A single unique seedling was selected in June 2016 based on plant growth habit, branching characteristics, flower colour and flower sterility.
Tests & Trials: The comparative trial for 'LANZ0026' was conducted in a polyhouse during the spring of 2021, at BioFlora Inc., in St. Thomas, Ontario. The trial included 15 plants each of the candidate and reference varieties. All plants were grown from rooted cuttings and transplanted into 15cm pots on April 22, 2021. Observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants, or 10 parts of plants of each variety on June 11, 2021. All colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
