Summary: The plants of ‘LANZ0042' are of a medium density while those of ‘LAN 149' are dense. The shoots of ‘LANZ0042' are short with an upright to semi-upright attitude while those of ‘LAN 149' are very short to short with an upright attitude. The peduncle of ‘LANZ0042' is of a medium length while that of ‘LAN 149' is short.

LEAF BLADE: medium length, broad, low length to width ratio, shallow to medium depth incisions of margin, broad acute tips of incisions of margin, truncate base, medium to dark green on upper side

FLOWER BUD: light yellow (RHS 13D)
YOUNG FLOWER: white (RHS NN155C) lower corolla lobe, medium yellow (RHS 12B) center
MIDDLE-AGED FLOWER: white (RHS NN155C) lower corolla lobe, white (RHS NN155C) lateral corolla lobe, light yellow (RHS 5D) centre
OLD FLOWER: white (RHS NN155C) lower corolla lobe, white (RHS NN155C) centre

Origin & Breeding History: ‘LANZ0042' originated from an open pollinated cross between the female parent ‘Havana Full Moon' and pollen from an unknown male parent in August 2016 in Gilroy, California, U.S.A. The resulting seed was sown in August 2017, from which a single unique seedling was selected in November 2017 based on plant vigor, plant growth habit, length of flowering period, flower and foliage colour and seed set.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of ‘LANZ0042' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 20221758, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, Angers, France. The trial was conducted at the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany, in 2023. Colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
