LEAF BLADE: medium to long, broad, low to medium length to width ratio, medium depth incisions of margin, broad acute tips of incisions of margin, truncate base, medium green on upper side

INFLORESCENCE: short to medium length peduncle, medium length and width
FLOWER BUD: medium purple red (RHS 63A)
YOUNG FLOWER: medium yellow (RHS 8B) lower corolla lobe, medium yellow (RHA 12B) center
MIDDLE-AGED FLOWER: pink (RHS 50C) lower corolla lobe, pink (RHS 50C) lateral corolla lobe, orange red (RHS 33B) centre
OLD FLOWER: medium purple (RHS 71C to RHS 71D) lower corolla lobe, medium purple red (RHS 58B) centre

Origin & Breeding History: ‘LANZ0044' originated from an open pollinated cross between the female parent ‘Little Lucky Hot Pink' and pollen from an unknown male parent in August 2016 in Gilroy, California, U.S.A. The resulting seed was sown in August 2017, from which a single unique seedling was selected in November 2017 based on flower colour, plant growth habit, foliage colour, length of flowering period and seed set.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'LANZ0044' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 20221755, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, Angers, France. The trial was conducted at the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany, in 2023. Colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
