Variety used for comparison: 'LAN 108'
Summary: The plants of ‘LANZ0047' are medium to tall while those of ‘LAN 108' are short to medium in height. The shoots of ‘LANZ0047' are short to medium in length while those of ‘LAN 108' are short. The leaf blade of ‘LANZ0047' is long while that of ‘LAN 108' is medium in length. For an older flower, the lower corolla lobe and the centre of ‘LANZ0047' is dark red while those of ‘LAN 108' are a slightly different dark red.

YOUNG FLOWER: dark yellow (RHS 14A) lower corolla lobe, dark yellow (RHA 14A) center
MIDDLE-AGED FLOWER: dark orange (RHS N30D) lower corolla lobe, dark orange (RHS N30D) lateral corolla lobe, light red (RHS N30A) centre
OLD FLOWER: dark red (RHS 42A) lower corolla lobe, dark red (RHS 42A) centre
Origin & Breeding History: ‘LANZ0047' originated from a controlled cross between the female parent, ‘Little Lucky Red' and the male parent, a proprietary seedling designated ‘H0039-1' in August 2017 in Gilroy, California, U.S.A. The resulting seed was sown in March 2018, from which a single unique seedling was selected in June 2018 based on plant growth habit, length of flowering period, flower and foliage colour and seed set.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of ‘LANZ0047' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 20221787, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, Angers, France. The trial was conducted at the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany, in 2023. Colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
