Summary: The plants of 'Anouk Deluxe 169' have an upright growth habit while those of 'Anouk Deluxe 179' have a globular growth habit. At full flowering, the plant density of 'Anouk Deluxe 169' is sparse while that of 'Minamino Kagayaki' is of medium density. The flowering stem of 'Anouk Deluxe 169' is short whereas that of 'Lusitanica Sampaina' is medium to long. The spike of 'Anouk Deluxe 169' has medium to many flowers whereas that of 'Anouk Deluxe 173' has few flowers.

Origin & Breeding History: 'Anouk Deluxe 169' is a product of a planned breeding program conducted by the breeder in Boskoop, Netherlands. It originated from a controlled cross conducted in May 2010, in Nuis, Netherlands, between the variety 'Anouk', as the female parent, and a proprietary selection designated #1252, as the male parent. From the resulting progeny, 'Anouk Deluxe 169' was selected as a single plant, in May 2011, in Nuis, based on plant habit, colour of infertile bracts, reblooming characteristics and branch strength. 'Anouk Deluxe 169' was first propagated by vegetative cuttings in August 2012, in Boskoop, Netherlands.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Anouk Deluxe 169' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2016/0459, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Groupe d'Étude et de contrôle des Variétés et des Semences, in Cavaillon, France, from 2017 to 2018. The colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
