Variety used for comparison: 'Ezflor'
Summary: The leaf of ‘Multired 187' has very many divisions while that of ‘Ezflor' has many to very many divisions. The hue of anthocyanin colouration on the leaf of ‘Multired 187' is reddish while it is purplish for that of ‘Ezflor'. The leaf margin incisions of ‘Multired 187' are medium to deep while those of ‘Ezflor' are of medium depth.

LEAF: erect to semi-erect attitude, very many divisions, large to very large area of very strong intensity of reddish anthocyanin colouration, strong glossiness of upper side, very thin, absent or very weak blistering, semi-flabellate venation
LEAF MARGIN: weak undulation, tridentate type incisions, medium to deep incisions, shallow to medium depth secondary incisions, medium density incisions
SEED: white coat

Origin & Breeding History: 'Multired 187' (breeders' reference NUN 09187 LTL) originated from a controlled cross conducted between two proprietary breeding lines in Gravenzande, Netherlands in 2015. Continued selection and selfing was made in each subsequent generation from 2015 to 2022. The final selection of an F8 line designated as ‘Multired 187' was made in Gravenzande, Netherlands in 2022 based on plant diameter, leaf colour and shape and disease resistance.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of ‘Multired 187' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number SLA5015, purchased from the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2024 and 2025.
