Summary: The cotyledon of ‘B32067DH36' is narrower than those of the reference varieties. The petiole of ‘B32067DH36' is shorter than the petiole of ‘Centennial Brown'. The plants of ‘B32067DH36' flower later than those of the reference varieties. At flowering, the plants of ‘B32067DH36' are taller than the plants of ‘B2543DH63 (RfoRfo)'. When all branches are raised vertically, the total plant length of ‘B32067DH36' is longer than those of the reference varieties. The silique, between the pedicel and beak, of ‘B32067DH36' is shorter than the silique of ‘Centennial Brown'. The pedicel on the silique of ‘B32067DH36' is longer than those of the reference varieties.
Description:

Origin & Breeding History: ‘B32067DH36' is a cytoplasmic male sterile (CMS) double haploid restorer line developed from a cross conducted between a CMS restorer plant designated ‘B2878-8' and an elite brown mustard line designated ‘B3150' in 2015. The resulting F1 plants containing the Rfo gene were backcrossed to ‘B3150' in 2016. Double haploids containing the Rfo gene in duplicate were designated ‘B32067DH36' in 2016. Pre-breeder seed was established in 2017.
Tests & Trials: The comparative trials for ‘B32067DH36' were conducted at the Ag-Quest Research Farm in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan during the 2023 and 2024 growing seasons. The plots were arranged in a RCB design with 4 replicates. Each plot consisted of 6 rows, 5 metres in length, with a row spacing of 20 centimetres. The planting density resulted in a minimum of 1800 plants per variety per year. Measured characteristics were based on 30 measurements per variety per year, except for silique characteristics, which were based on 60 measurements per variety per year. Mean differences were significant at the 5% confidence probability level based on a paired Student`s t-test.
