Origin & Breeding History: 'KLEOE14205' was bred and developed by the breeder, Silke Wagener, in Stuttgart, Germany. It originated from a hybrid cross conducted in August 2009, in Nairobi, Kenya, between the selection designated 'OE 2006 0053', as the female parent, and the selection designated 'OE 2006 0039', as the male parent. From the resulting progeny, seedlings were selected in May 2010, in Stuttgart, Germany, for their branching habit, leaf quality, and flower size, colour and shape. These seedlings were evaluated in greenhouse trials in Stuttgart, in May 2011, and assessed using prior selection criteria, as well as, disease resistance, and time of flowering. In May 2013, in Stuttgart, Germany, 'KLEOE14205' was selected for commercialization.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'KLEOE14205' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2015/1632, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt under reference number OST 678 in Hannover, Germany, in 2016. The colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
