PLANT: semi-upright growth habit, short
LEAF: medium length, narrow to medium width, shallow margin indentations, no variegation, medium green on upper side
FLOWER HEAD (YOUNG): medium yellow (RHS 9A) ray florets
FLOWER HEAD (FULLY OPENED): no paracorolla, medium number of ray florets, small to medium diameter
RAY FLORET: short to medium length, broad, very low length to width ratio, obtuse apex, no inward rolling of longitudinal margins
RAY FLORET (INNER SIDE): very broad right at base, light violet (RHS 77D) ring at base, medium orange (RHS 26B) basal part, medium yellow orange (RHS 20A) middle part, medium yellow orange (RHS 17B) apical part, weak conspicuousness of longitudinal stripes, tip slightly different from colour of apical part
RAY FLORET (OUTER SIDE): yellow with green stripe colour group
DISC: daisy type, medium diameter, yellow green
Origin & Breeding History: 'KLEOE17336' originated from a controlled cross conducted by the breeder, Maike Boxriker in Nairobi, Kenya, in the summer of 2013. The cross was made between the female parent, a proprietary seeding designated OE-2007-0028, and the male parent variety 'Voltage Yellow'. In May 2014, a single seedling was selected based on flower colour and outdoor summer performance. The selected seedling was evaluated in multiple greenhouse trials to assess plant vigour, early flowering, flower size and flower colour. These assessments were completed from October 2014 to May 2015, October 2015 to May 2016 and from October 2016 to May 2017. The seedling was selected for commercialization and named 'KLEOE17336' in March 2017 in Stuttgart, Germany.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'KLEOE17336' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2018/1452, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Bundessortenamt, in Hannover, Germany, in 2019. The colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
