Origin & Breeding History: The variety 'Danosticaur' originated from an open pollinated cross conducted in November of 2017 at Moshav Mishmar, Israel. The cross was made between the female parent designated 'OST-16-5095' and pollen from an unknown male parent. A single seedling was selected from the resultant progeny in April of 2018. The new variety 'Danosticaur' was selected in April of 2018 based on its plant vigor and flower colour.

Tests & Trials: Trials for 'Danosticaur' were conducted in a polyhouse during the spring of 2025 at BioFlora Inc. in St. Thomas, Ontario. The trial included a total of 20 plants of the candidate and reference varieties. Rooted cuttings were transplanted into 15 cm pots on March 25, 2025. Observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants of each variety on June 10, 2025. All colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
