Description:

PLANT: upright growth habit, medium foliage height, narrow to medium width

STEM: green, very weak to medium intensity of anthocyanin colouration

LEAF BLADE: short to medium length, narrow to medium width, shallow to medium depth of sinus, weak to medium undulation of margin, slightly open to closed base, no variegation, dark green on upper side
LEAF ZONE: medium to strong conspicuousness, positioned in the middle, medium size

PEDUNCLE: medium length, medium to strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration on middle third
INFLORESCENCE: short, medium to broad, medium number of open flowers, medium length of largest flower, medium to broad width of largest flower, medium length of longest pedicel
PEDICEL: medium intensity of anthocyanin colouration on upper third, no swelling
SEPAL: absent or weak reflexing, very weak to weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration at middle of broadest sepal
FLOWER: double type, few to medium number of petals, concave cross-section in lateral view, no irregularly distributed stripes or blotches
UPPER PETAL: medium to broad, spatulate shape, entire margin at apex
UPPER PETAL (INNER SIDE): margin and middle are medium purple (RHS N74B), medium conspicuousness of stripes only, small to medium sized white zone at base
UPPER PETAL (OUTER SIDE): dark blue pink (RHS N74D)
LOWER PETAL (INNER SIDE): margin and middle are medium purple (RHS NN74A), absent or very weak conspicuousness of marking, very small white zone at base
LOWER PETAL (OUTER SIDE): dark blue pink (more red than RHS N74D)
INNER PETAL (INNER SIDE): medium purple (RHS N74B) at middle

Origin & Breeding History: 'IRTPZ20125' originated from a controlled cross between the female parent, a proprietary selection designated 'Z10-142', and the male parent variety 'Lavenda' conducted at the Institut de Recerca I Tecnologia Agroalimentaries, in Barcelona, Spain in March 2011. The new variety 'IRTPZ20125' was selected in July of 2020, based on plant architecture and flowering characteristics including flower size and inflorescence arrangement.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'IRTPZ20125' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number PEL 2915, purchased from the Bundessortenamt, in Hannover, Germany. The trial was conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2021. All colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
