Summary: The leaf blade of 'Fabris' is long whereas the leaf blade of 'Alegria' is medium to long. The width of the leaf blade of 'Fabris' is broad whereas the leaf blade of 'Alegria' is of medium width. The fruit of 'Fabris' matures mid-season whereas the fruit of 'Alegria' matures mid-season to late.

Description:

SEEDLING: anthocyanin colouration of hypocotyl present

PLANT: medium height, no shortened internodes in upper part, medium to long internodes on primary side shoots
STEM: short to medium length, weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration of nodes, sparse to medium density of hairiness of nodes

LEAF BLADE: long, broad, medium to dark green on upper side, ovate to broad elliptic shape, weak to medium degree of undulation of margin, medium to strong blistering, moderately convex profile in cross-section, medium degree of glossiness on upper side

FLOWERING: begins mid-season
PEDUNCLE: semi-drooping attitude
FLOWER: anthocyanin colouration of anther present

STALK: medium to long, medium to thick
CALYX: non enveloping aspect

Origin & Breeding History: 'Fabris' (breeder designation 35-182 RZ) originated from a controlled cross conducted in June 2011, in De Lier, Netherlands. From the resulting progeny, 'Fabris' was selected in September 2012 for its plant vigour, fruit quality, yield, and resistance to Tabomavirus pathotypes P0, P1, P1-2 and P1-2-3 and Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Fabris' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number PPS1548, purchased from Naktuinbouw, Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw, Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands, in 2015.
