Summary: The plants of 'Keessie' are of short to medium height while the plants of 'Nesbitt' are of medium height. The plants of 'Keessie' mature early to mid-season whereas the plants of 'Nesbitt' mature mid-season. Before maturity, 'Keessie' has fruit with a medium intensity of colour whereas 'Nesbitt' has fruit with a medium to dark intensity of colour.

STEM: short to medium length, weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration of nodes, weak to medium hairiness of nodes
LEAF BLADE: long, medium to broad, medium intensity of green on upper side, ovate shape, medium degree of undulation of margin, medium degree of blistering, moderately concave profile in cross-section, medium to strong glossiness
PEDUNCLE: semi-drooping attitude

Origin & Breeding History: 'Keessie' (breeder designation 35-192 RZ) originated from a controlled cross conducted in June 2012, in De Lier, Netherlands. From the resulting progeny, 'Keessie' was selected in September 2014 for its plant vigour, fruit quality, and yield.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Keessie' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number PPS1675, purchased from Naktuinbouw, Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw, Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands, in 2017.
