LEAF: medium to dark green upper side, ovate shape, medium undulation of margin, medium degree of blistering, profile in cross-section is moderately concave, medium degree of glossiness
LEAF BLADE: medium to long, medium to broad

FLOWERING: begins mid-season
PEDUNCLE: semi-drooping attitude
FLOWER: anthocyanin colouration in anther present

FRUIT STALK: long to very long, medium thickness
CALYX: non enveloping aspect
FRUIT (BEFORE MATURITY): light to medium green, no anthocyanin colouration

Origin & Breeding History: 'Palermo Obedius' (breeder designation 35-529 RZ) is an orange sweet pepper variety suitable for heated cultivation. It originated from a cross made in June of 2012, in De Lier, Netherlands. The resulting hybrid, 'Palermo Obedius', was selected in September 2013 for its plant vigour, fruit quality, yield and resistance to Tobamovirus pathotype P1-2 (Tm2), Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus race P0 (TSWV) and Potato Virus Y pathotype 1-2 (PVY1.2).

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Palermo Obedius' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number PPS1650, purchased from Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2017.
