Origin & Breeding History: Mitayo' (breeder's reference 35-MO1496 RZ) originated from a controlled cross conducted between two proprietary lines in the summer of 2019 in De Lier, Netherlands. From the resulting progeny, the hybrid sweet pepper variety Mitayo' was selected in the summer of 2020 in De Lier, Netherlands for its disease resistance, plant vigour, fruit set and fruit taste.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of Mitayo' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number PPS2307, purchased from the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands from 2023 to 2024.
