LEAF BLADE: medium to long length, medium to broad width, medium to dark green on upper side, ovate shape, medium degree of undulation of margin, medium to strong degree of blistering, moderately concave profile in cross-section, medium degree of glossiness on upper side

FLOWERING: begins very early to early in season
PEDUNCLE: semi-drooping attitude
FLOWER: anthocyanin colouration of anther present
STALK: short, thin
CALYX: non enveloping aspect

Origin & Breeding History: 'E20S0490' (experimental designation E20S.0490) originated from a controlled cross between the female parent designated ‘E20S.0490-F' and the male parent designated ‘E20S.0490-M' conducted at the Enza Zaden Research and Development station in Enkhuizen, Netherlands in August of 2019. From the resulting progeny, 'E20S0490' was selected in 2020 based on yield, fruit Brix level, fruit size, and seed quantity.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'E20S0490' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number PPS2285, purchased from the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted in 2023-2024 by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands.
