Origin & Breeding History: 'MIYOPEEA' originated from a cross pollination conducted in April 2014 in Tokuyo, Japan. The cross was made between two proprietary breeding selections that were not coded or patented. From the resulting progeny, the new variety 'MIYOPEEA' was discovered and selected as a single flowering plant in July of 2015 based on its flower colour. Asexual propagation since that time has been through vegetative cuttings.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'MIYOPEEA' is based on the UPOV Report of Technical Examination, application number 2018/0233, purchased from Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2019. Colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
