Summary: The calyx lobe of 'PEHY0047' is of medium width whereas the calyx lobe of 'PEHY0004' is very narrow. The corolla of 'PEHY0047' is medium to broad whereas the corolla of 'PEHY0004' is narrow. The corolla tube of 'PEHY0047' is very broad whereas the corolla tube of 'PEHY0004' is of medium width.

LEAF: ovate, medium length, medium to broad, obtuse apex, no variegation, medium green on upper side

PEDICEL: very short, absent or very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration
CALYX LOBE: long, medium width
FLOWER: single type
COROLLA: medium to broad, medium degree of lobing, weak degree of undulation
COROLLA LOBE (INNER SIDE): weak conspicuousness of purple veins, medium purple red (RHS N66A) when newly opened, mainly medium purple red (RHS N66B) when fully opened, medium amount of light violet (more red than RHS 75B) secondary colour along the fused parts of the corolla lobes, absent or few flowers with different sized area of secondary colour, medium purple red (RHS N66B) when aged, truncate apex
COROLLA TUBE: very broad, dark purple (RHS N77B) on inner side, medium conspicuousness of veins on inner side, medium blue pink (RHS 186D) on outer side
ANTHER: whitish pollen

Origin & Breeding History: 'PEHY0047' originated from a controlled cross conducted by the breeder, Theodorus van Kleinwee, in Enkhuizen, the Netherlands, in October 2015. The cross was made between the two proprietary seedlings, female parent designated 'BA0089-2', and the male parent designated 'BA0391-2'. The resultant seed was sown in January 2016. A single unique seedling was selected in May 2016, in Enkhuizen, based on plant growth habit, flowering time, flower size and flower colour.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'PEHY0047' is based on the UPOV Report of Technical Examination, application number 2019/1119, purchased from Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2020. Colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
