Description:

PLANT: upright to spreading growth habit, medium height
SHOOT: short to medium length

LEAF: medium to long, medium to broad, ovate, obtuse apex, no variegation, medium green

PEDICEL: medium length, absent or very weak anthocyanin colouration
CALYX: medium length, very narrow
FLOWER: single type, medium to broad
COROLLA: medium degree of lobing, weak undulation
COROLLA LOBE (INNER SIDE): absent or very weak conspicuousness of veins; mainly light yellow (RHS 4C) when fully opened, small area of brown red (RHS 182B) secondary colour at transition to corolla tube, absent or very few flowers with different sized area of secondary colour; medium yellow (RHS 2B) when newly opened, light yellow (RHS 10C) when aged, cuspidate apex
COROLLA TUBE: medium width, dark green brown (RHS 152D) on inner side, absent or very weak conspicuousness of veins on inner side, medium brown (RHS 177B) on outer side
ANTHER: whitish pollen

Origin & Breeding History: 'PEHY0064' originated from a controlled cross between the female parent, a proprietary breeding line designated 'BA0382-1V', and the male parent variety 'Aurora Banana Candy', conducted in Enkhuizen, the Netherlands in October 2016. The new variety 'PEHY0064' was finally selected in May 2017 based on plant habit, flowering time, flower colour and flower size.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'PEHY0064' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination application number 2021/1878, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2022. All colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
