Origin & Breeding History: 'Kerprilpro' originated from a controlled cross conducted by the breeders in Cambridge, UK in August 2015. The cross was made between two proprietary seedlings, the female parent '15-930-2' and the male parent '15-930-6'. From the resulting progeny, 'Kerprilpro' was selected in May 2016 based on plant growth habit, double flower type, flower and vein colour, flower abundance and flower fragrance. 'Kerprilpro' was initially propagated by vegetative tip cuttings in September 2016 in Cambridge, UK.

Tests & Trials: The comparative trial for 'Kerprilpro' was conducted in a polyhouse during the spring of 2022 at Bioflora Inc. in St. Thomas, Ontario. The trial included a total of 20 plants each of the candidate and reference varieties. All plants were grown from rooted cuttings and transplanted into 15 cm pots on April 3, 2022. Observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants, or parts of plants, of each variety on May 26, 2022. All colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
