Description:

PLANT: upright to spreading growth habit, short to medium height, medium length shoot

LEAF: medium length, medium width, ovate shape, obtuse apex, no variegation, medium green on upper side

PEDICEL: medium length, absent or very weak anthocyanin colouration
CALYX LOBE: medium length, narrow
FLOWER: single type, medium width, weak lobing
COROLLA LOBE: weak undulation, weak to medium conspicuousness of purple veins, cuspidate apex
COROLLA LOBE (INNER SIDE): medium yellow (RHS 5A) when newly opened, medium purple (RHS 61B) when fully opened, medium sized area of light yellow (RHS 11C) secondary colour at margin of corolla, absent or few flowers with different size of area of secondary colour, light yellow (RHS 11C) when aged
COROLLA TUBE: medium width, inner side medium brown (RHS 176A), very weak to weak conspicuousness of veins on inner side, outer side dark purple (RHS N77B)
ANTHER: whitish pollen

Origin & Breeding History: ‘PEHY0059' originated from a controlled cross between the female proprietary parental line ‘PETBC0636-2V' and the male proprietary parent line ‘BB1214-1V' conducted in Enkhuizen, the Netherlands in October of 2017. The new variety ‘PEHY0059' was selected in May 2018 based on plant growth habit, flowering time, flower colour and flower size.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'PEHY0059' is based on the UPOV Report of Technical Examination, application number 2021/1877, purchased from Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2022. Colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
