Summary: The shoot of ‘PEHY0078' is medium to long whereas that of ‘WGPETWHIMV' is a short to medium length. The leaf of ‘PEHY0078' is a narrow to medium width whereas that of ‘WGPETWHIMV' is narrow. The leaf of ‘PEHY0078' is ovate whereas that of ‘WGPETWHIMV' is elliptic. The inner side of the corolla tube of ‘PEHY0078' is medium yellow whereas that of ‘WGPETWHIMV' is light yellow green.

PEDICEL: medium length, absent or very weak anthocyanin colouration
CALYX LOBE: short, narrow
FLOWER: single type, narrow to medium width, medium degree of lobing
COROLLA LOBE: weak undulation, absent or very weak conspicuousness of veins, truncate apex
COROLLA LOBE (INNER SIDE): white (RHS NN155D) when newly opened, white (RHS NN155B) when fully opened, white (RHS NN155D) when aged
COROLLA TUBE: medium width, inner side medium yellow (RHS 8B), weak conspicuousness of veins on inner side, outer side light yellow (RHS 8C)
ANTHER: whitish pollen
Origin & Breeding History: ‘PEHY0078' originated from a controlled cross between the female proprietary parental line ‘BB2080-1V' and the male parent variety ‘Dekko Deep Lavender Vein' conducted in Enkhuizen, the Netherlands in June of 2017. The new variety ‘PEHY0078' was selected in November 2017 based on plant growth habit, flowering time, flower colour and flower size.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'PEHY0078' is based on the UPOV Report of Technical Examination, application number 2022/2062, purchased from Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2023. Colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
