The resulting F1 plants were evaluated in Misato, Japan in an open field trial and a single plant was selected in 2017 based on branching plant habit, root system strength and flowering time. Root cuttings of the selected plant were produced and resulting plants were cultivated and evaluated in an open field in Misato, Japan from April to August of 2017. Further propagation and field trials were conducted in Salinas, California, USA from shoot tip cuttings and the new variety was confirmed to be uniform and stable and subsequently named 'SAKPXC027'.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'SAKPXC027' is based on the UPOV Report of Technical Examination, application number 20212629, purchased from Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2022. Colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
