The broad ovate shaped bracts have a rounded to wedge-shaped base and absent to weak intensity of rugosity between the veins. The glands of the cyathium are yellow to orange in colour and medium in size.

Origin & Breeding History: 'Kamp Burgundy' originated from a naturally occurring mutation in the variety 'Fiscor' It ws discovered in Hillscheid, Germany in December of 1998. Cuttings from the mutated plant were rooted, planted and examined in the fall of 1999. In winter and early spring of 2000 these plants developed vegetative shoots which were used for further propagation and for evaluation of rooting characteristics.

Tests & Trials: Tests and trials for 'Kamp Burgundy' were conducted at Westcan Greenhouses Ltd., Langley, British Columbia in November/December of 2001. The trial consisted of a minimum of 12 plants of each variety grown in a greenhouse. The 15 cm pots were spaced approximately 38 cm (from center to center) apart. Unless otherwise indicated, measured characteristics were based on ten measurements.
